About Us

WHO WE ARE

global Enviro Foundation

We are community members from around Mahikeng Local Municipality in the North West Province, South Africa. It has come to our attention that our people on the ground are not informed about the current state of the Environment and we need to bridge that gap so we have registered the voluntary organization (Non-Profit) in an attempt to mitigate the impact of Global Warming/ Climate change. Our primary objective/s is to conserve nature through our environmental initiatives.

WHAT WE DO

Our Initiatives

Environment Awareness Campaigns

Environment Awareness Campaigns

Our environmental awareness campaign is an initiative that we aims to inform the public about environmental issues, promote conservation, and inspire sustainable practices through various forms of outreach, such as educational programs, community events, and media campaigns. Our campaigns focus on specific environmental problems, from illegal dumping site to plastic waste, and are designed to motivate individuals, communities and businesses to take action and adopt more eco-friendly lifestyle.

Environment cleaning campaigns

Environment cleaning campaigns

Our campaigns are organized events where we partner with provincial Depart. Of Environment, our local municipality, communities and other stakeholders to work together to clean up and conserve their local environments, combatting waste and promoting sustainable practices like recycling. These campaigns focus on removing litter and waste from public spaces, promoting recycling and proper waste management, and educating citizens to foster a sense of environmental responsibility and pride. Initiatives range from global events like World Environment day, Mandela day to local municipal campaigns, often involving community participation, partnerships, and a focus on long-term environmental health.

Promote reusing waste & recycling

Promote reusing waste & recycling

We promote reusing and recycling, engage individuals and communities by providing accessible infrastructure like buyback centers, educating people on proper sorting and the benefits of the "Three Rs" (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), and implementing waste-reduction strategies such as using reusable bags, bottles, and containers. Businesses can foster waste reduction through waste exchange programs, and adopting sustainable practices to contribute to a circular economy and reduce their environmental footprint.

Promote greening/tree planting

Promote greening/tree planting

In partnership with the provincial Depart of Environment we promote greening and tree planting, establish community tree drives and school greening projects, focusing on native species for ecological balance and citizen ownership. Integrate education and outreach on trees' benefits—from carbon sequestration and cleaner air to reduced urban heat. Involve local authorities to secure land for reforestation and support sustainable initiatives like community nurseries, ensuring long-term success through proper care and monitoring.

Promote renewable energy

Promote renewable energy

To promote renewable energy, governments can implement policies and offer financial incentives like tax breaks and grants for businesses and households. Individuals can support renewable energy by adopting solar panels, use of solar geysers and advocating for local projects, and educating their communities on its benefits. Governments can also foster for innovation in clean energy technologies.

Fix Leaks

Fix Leaks

We promote fixing leaks as it is a vital climate action. On an individual level, consumers can combat climate change by fixing leaks in their water lines to save both resources and energy, while also improving the efficiency of their homes.

We also do landscaping

We Also Do Landscaping

This is the work that we to sustain our organization, we do it for government departments, businesses and individuals at home. Our landscaping uses eco-friendly practices to conserve natural resources, reduce pollution, and support ecological balance, resulting in healthier, more resilient landscapes that also benefit people and property. Key techniques include water conservation and use of native and drought-resistant plants, composting, and avoiding chemical treatments like synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.

Environment affect us all and we need all our hands on the decks, to take action against global warming. Our work has been ongoing prior to registration in March 2018 with Dept. of Social Development under section 21 companies and we are receiving support from Mahikeng Local Municipality, National Lottery Commission and Provincial Dept. of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation and Tourism.
